poor bubba was put to sleep yesterday because he had a stroke that paralyzed him. he was a good rat, a member of the family for his three long years. he was allowed on the table while we ate dinner and helped himself to food off all our plates, he spent most of his nights on chrissy's pillow, he loved nothing more than to perch on a shoulder and play with long hair. he was the smallest but no less loved member of our family. he was buried during a quiet ceremony below my sister's window, where he can spend the rest of eternity gazing out on the same view he had from his cage since chrissy bought him. when he first arrived, bubba was less than four inches long (including his tail) and weighed less than six ounces. at his death, he was close to a full foot long and weighed two and a half pounds. chrissy plans on mourning him for a few weeks and then eventually moving on to her next rat, she hopes a whitehaired female (bubba was a blackhaired male).

we went to the orlando improv last night to see gabriel iglesias and he was soooo good!!!!! omg, it was awesome. it started at 9:45pm and didn't get out until midnight. there were a total of four comedians, three to open for gabriel. they were up for about thirty minutes, and then gabriel was up for more than hour i think. i tried to take some pics with my phone, but the lighting was bad and they didn't really come out. he did all new jokes, too, which is what made it the best. we didn't get home until 1:30am ish, i just stayed the night over at meg's place, and came home to turn in some late homework this morning, lol. it was so worth it though. its so different to see him in real life rather than on tv. it was louder, the atmosphere was so much better, and he was right there. i loved it. i've got to go see standup more often!
